This site was created by disabled veterans who have personal experience with service dogs of their own. It is our goal to help define the different types of animals that can provide services to people, list some of the tasks that different animals can assist with, and give independent resources that a veteran can use to obtain the correct type of animal for their needs. There are many different types of animals that can assist a veteran with medical and/or emotional needs.
This site will provide information about different organizations that offer service dogs or give information on training their own. This site is for reference only, we have not had personal experience with all of these organizations. If you have had experience with any organizations posted on this site, whether positive or negative, please post a comment and let us know what you think. While most organizations are upstanding, there are some that are known to be untrustworthy for committing such acts as taking advantage of disabled people, providing incomplete training, etc. We will do everything in our power to make sure they are not supplied on this site or to remove them from this site as soon as we learn of their deficiencies. Additionally, if a veteran or a family member of a veteran has had any experience with an organization that is not listed on this site, please e-mail us. You, the veteran, are the most important voice.
Thank you for your service!

If you are not sure what type of animal you need just go to the Assistance Animals page and it will give information for each type of animal.
